mutation––monstrosity [missing]
Presently in its embryonic state, this performance-film project will be comprised of a multi-part micro-fictive piece situated with a close-up livestream footage. The work dissects the behaviors of a women, Lila-Rose, who is processing her condition of grieving the loss of an unborn child. Behaviors include the wearing of a prosthetic belly and internalized dialogue on the topics of fungi, mutations, the non-binary, [pre]motherhood and the formation––invention––of material body records as consolation for trauma. It will discuss the constructed embodiment of the non-visible i.e. self-animation/visual.
